Advents Share "Hate Myself" with Official Music Video
Modern metal band Advents continue to build momentum with their new single "Hate Myself," out Friday, April 3rd via InVogue Records. Accompanied by a music video, the track follows the fallout of letting the wrong person or influence in, where brief highs give way to a lingering weight that's harder to ignore.
"'Hate Myself' is about letting something or someone into your life knowing full well you shouldn’t, and then regretting it," says vocalist Tyler Simpson. "In the moment it’s great and euphoric, and you think to yourself, ‘oh maybe this isn’t so bad’, but then it bites you in the end and you never truly know why you let them in to begin with."

"Hate Myself" comes from that moment where you already know something is a bad idea but you choose to go along with it anyway. It feels good at first, which almost makes it worse because you can see where it's headed. By the time that decision catches up with you, you're left sitting with it and trying to figure out why you let it happen at all. Advents channel that tension and frustration into something direct and honest, letting it hit without overcomplicating it.
